Artist Professional Development at Red Deer Arts Council

I will be teaching part three of this professional development series on October 20 in Red Deer, Alberta

In this informational workshop; you won’t be learning how to build a website for your art. What you will learn is everything you need to know on how to get one.

This includes:

  • Selecting a proper domain name for your art site
  • Selecting a website host provider
  • Using a blog for your website and no you don’t have to blog (sounds counter intuitive; I’ll explain)
  • What pages are an absolute must on any artist site
  • What content needs to be on those pages
  • How to organize your image portfolios
  • How to use Social Media and blogs to funnel visitors to your site.

This workshop is setup for group participation; ask me anything you want to know about putting your art online.

If you know someone that could benefit from all or even just one of these workshops, please share.

Here’s an overview

  1. A big thank you to Red Deer Arts Council and everyone that attended the workshop. It was a blast talking with so many talented artists about developing an on line presence, websites, blogs and social networking.

If you have a arts organization or group I would love to do this again! Please contact me for details.
