Artist Statements can be difficult to write, especially if you work in series and have something specific to say about each body of work.
Some artists like to combine their bio and statement, while others merge their bio with their CV. There isn’t a specific standard on how to do this. What is important, is to say something about your work.
If you have a statement for each series or genera of artwork, then include it with the images of that work. Including text with your images goes along way to help visitors understand who you are as an artist.
Another good reason to write about your work is that it provides search engines with something to read. BECAUSE search engines can not read images.
