   I’ve been thinking about doing a site but am uncertain about how the domain name and hosting works. Can you tell me what is the difference?

   Hi Joe
   A domain name is the address that you type into your browser in order to go to a website. For example joe.com. You can have a domain name with out hosting but you can not have hosting with out a domain name.

   It is important that you own the rights to your domain name and I wrote an article about that which will give you the facts. http://artbiz.ca/domain-names-hosts/domain-names/
